Space XY: BGaming's rocket on a chart

A rocket climbs a graph with the multiplier on one axis and time on the other, and at a random point it explodes. BGaming released it in January 2022 for the crypto casinos it already supplied, and it has since turned up almost everywhere. Here is what is different about it, which is less than the chart suggests.

BGaming is best known for Plinko and for the slots it sells to crypto casinos, and Space XY is its crash game. It arrived in January 2022, three years after Aviator, and the studio's answer to "why another one" was the chart. Instead of a plane on a blank sky, the rocket in Space XY traces a curve across a graph with axes, gridlines and a visible trajectory. It looks like a trading screen. It plays like Aviator. We have put a few hundred rounds into it at 1xBet and Stake, and the chart is the only thing we would change about the game, in either direction.

What is Space XY?

Space XY is a multiplayer crash game. Each round, a rocket lifts off from the origin of an X-Y chart. The X axis is time and the Y axis is the multiplier, which starts at 1.00x and climbs. At a random moment the rocket explodes and the round ends. Any bet still live at that point is lost. Cash out before it and you win your stake times the multiplier at the instant you pressed.

Two bet panels, each with its own stake and auto cash-out. Autoplay from five rounds to unlimited. A live bets feed showing other players and when they left. A history strip of recent crash points. A round interval of about eight seconds. If you have played Aviator, you already know every control.

The chart is the difference, and it is worth being clear about what it does and does not do. The curve the rocket draws is the multiplier plotted against time, which is exponential in every crash game. Space XY just shows you the shape. It does not reveal anything about where the explosion will come, because that point was decided before the rocket moved. The gridlines make a 2x round look like data. It is the same coin toss with axes.

How to play Space XY

  1. Set a stake in one or both panels. Minimum 0.10 at most operators, some run 0.20. Maximum 100 per panel is typical.
  2. Place the bet during the eight-second interval. Late bets queue for the next round.
  3. Watch the rocket climb the chart. The multiplier is shown large and also as the Y position. The profit counter under each panel shows what a cash-out is worth right now.
  4. Cash out. Press the button, or let auto cash-out fire at your target. Winnings are credited instantly.
  5. Or watch it explode. If the rocket goes before you do, the stake is gone. The next round is a few seconds away.

Manual and auto modes are separate tabs. In auto you set the number of rounds, the stake, the cash-out multiplier for each panel, and optional stop-on-profit and stop-on-loss limits. The limits are the useful part. Set them.

Features that matter

Dual bet. Two panels, two stakes, two auto cash-out values. The usual pattern is a low-target safe bet and a high-target riding bet. It lowers variance and leaves the house edge where it was. We say this on every page because every page needs it said.

Auto cash-out. The most useful control in any crash game. Reaction time at 2x is roughly a quarter of a second, and the rocket does not wait. Setting the target before the round removes the biggest leak in casual play.

Live bets and the players-remaining counter. Space XY shows how many players are still in the round as the multiplier climbs. Watching the number drop at 1.50x is informative about human nature and useless about the next crash point.

Mobile. The chart scales well to a phone, better than most crash games in portrait. Everything from the desktop version is present.

Space XY RTP, max win and the 10,000x question

The RTP is 97%, which BGaming publishes and which appears in the game's information panel at every operator we have checked. House edge is 3%. The chance of the rocket reaching any multiplier m is roughly 97% divided by m, so about 65% of rounds reach 1.50x, 48% reach 2x, 19% reach 5x and just under 10% reach 10x. One review site lists the RTP as "not published", which is incorrect; press the "i" in the game.

The multiplier is capped at 10,000x. The probability of a round getting there is about 0.0097%, roughly one in 10,000 rounds, which at eight seconds a round is a day of continuous play. On top of the multiplier cap, BGaming sets a maximum payout per round of 250,000 in euro terms, and operators can lower it. If you are staking 100 and dreaming of 10,000x, check the payout cap first, because it is usually the binding one.

Provably fair: the honest answer

BGaming has a provably fair system for its instant games and was one of the first mainstream studios to offer it. Whether you can use it for Space XY depends on the operator. At some crypto casinos the game shows a server seed hash before the round and a verification panel afterwards. At others, including some bookmakers, the game runs on BGaming's certified RNG without the panel, and one reviewer listed the absence as a drawback.

What this means in practice: the crash point is decided before the rocket moves in both cases. The difference is whether you can personally recompute it afterwards. If that matters to you, play at an operator that exposes the fairness panel, or pick Limbo at Stake, where the system is fully under your control. If it does not, the certified RNG is the same guarantee a licensed slot gives you. Neither version can be predicted by an app, and the "Space XY predictor" channels are selling random numbers. Our view: these are the same bet. Space XY's chart is either a nice touch or a distraction depending on how your brain works, and the 10,000x cap is generous on paper and irrelevant in practice. If BGaming's Plinko is already in your lobby and you like its interface, you will like Space XY. If you want a fairness panel every time, Aviator is more consistent about showing one.

Frequently asked questions

What is Space XY?

Space XY is a multiplayer crash game from BGaming, released in January 2022. A rocket flies along an X-Y chart as a multiplier climbs from 1.00x, and you cash out before it explodes to win your stake times the multiplier. It has two bet panels, auto cash-out, autoplay and a live bets feed, and a 97% RTP.

What is the RTP of Space XY?

97%, published by BGaming and shown in the game's information panel. House edge is 3%, the same as Aviator and JetX. One review site lists the RTP as unpublished; it is in the game's help screen at every operator we have checked, and BGaming's own player hub confirms the figure.

What is the maximum win in Space XY?

The multiplier is capped at 10,000x. BGaming also sets a maximum payout per round, published as 250,000 in euro terms, and operators can set a lower cap. The chance of a round reaching 10,000x is about one in 10,000, so it is a real ceiling, not a marketing number, but you will not see it often.

Is Space XY provably fair?

BGaming offers a provably fair mode across its instant games, and some operators expose it for Space XY with a server seed hash shown before the round. Others run it on BGaming's certified RNG without the verification panel. Either way the crash point is fixed before the round starts; what differs is whether you can check it yourself afterwards.

Where can I play Space XY?

At most casinos and bookmakers that take the BGaming catalogue: 1xBet, Stake, Pin-Up, Mostbet and a long list of crypto casinos. BGaming holds licences in several regulated markets, so Space XY also appears at licensed operators in parts of Europe and Latin America. Demo mode is available inside the game at most of them.
