Aviator app in Kenya: what exists, what does not, and what to install
Spribe has never published an Aviator app. Everything called one is either a bookmaker's app with the game inside, a web shortcut, or something you should not install. Here is how to tell them apart.
The most honest sentence on this page is the first one: there is no Aviator app. Spribe builds Aviator as a browser game that bookmakers embed. It has never put a standalone app on Google Play, never on the App Store, never as an APK on its own site. So when 2,200 Kenyans a month search "aviator app" and another 2,100 search "aviator app install", what they find is a mix of bookmaker apps, web shortcuts dressed up as apps, and files on download mirrors that we would not put on a phone we cared about.
This page sorts those into piles. If you just want the game on your home screen, skip to the section on bookmaker apps or the web-app shortcut, both of which take two minutes.
Why "Aviator app" is really "bookmaker app"
Aviator runs inside your bookmaker's account. Your balance, your bets, your M-Pesa deposits and your withdrawals all belong to Betika or Pepeta or SportPesa, not to Spribe. The game is a window into that account. That is why there cannot be a standalone Aviator app with a login: there is nothing to log in to. Our Kenya Aviator login page goes through this from the login side.
It follows that an "Aviator app" is useful only if it is a bookmaker's app with the game in it. Several Kenyan bookmakers publish exactly that. The rest of the search results are noise.
Pakakumi Aviator APK: two things stuck together
The single biggest "Aviator app" search in Kenya, at around 5,000 a month, is "pakakumi aviator apk". It makes no sense as a phrase, which is why nobody has answered it properly.
Pakakumi is a Kenyan crash-betting site at pakakumi.com. It launched with its own in-house crash game, which played like Aviator and was simply called Pakakumi, and it built a following among people who wanted KSh 1 stakes and a fast round. Over time the site added third-party games, and today its own listing promotes Aviator, Aviatrix and JetX alongside football betting. So Pakakumi is a bookmaker that offers Aviator, in the same way Betika is. It is not a version of Aviator, and "Pakakumi Aviator" is not a separate game.
The APK part is pure wishful thinking. Pakakumi has no app that we have ever found on Google Play or on its own site. Aviator has no app. Put the two together and you get a search that can only be answered by someone who has made a file to answer it, and that file is not something you want.
If you want Pakakumi, open its website in your browser. We have not reviewed it on this site yet, so it is not in our bookmaker list, and we are not linking it here.
Kenyan bookmaker apps that include Aviator
Four bookmaker apps and one browser shortcut. All five open the same Spribe game.
Betika. Android app downloaded from Betika's own site, not from Google Play, because Google's real-money gambling policy keeps most Kenyan betting apps out of the store. Once installed, Aviator sits under Casino, and on busy evenings Betika pins it to the top bar as well. The app is heavier than it needs to be; on a phone with 2 GB of RAM we get a smoother game in the mobile site. Same login, same balance, so switching between the two costs nothing. Full details on our Betika Aviator page.
SportPesa. Android app from SportPesa's site, with Aviator in the casino lobby. The one quirk that catches people: you deposit into the main wallet, then use the chip icon to move funds into the casino wallet before the game will take a bet. The app and the site behave identically here. See SportPesa Aviator.
Betway. The most polished app of the group, available for both Android and iOS, with Aviator under Instant Games alongside JetX and Spaceman. Betway is the one brand here where the app is clearly better than the mobile site. See Betway Aviator.
Odibets. A light Android app that mirrors the site's minimalism. Aviator is one tap from the home screen. If your phone is old or your network is bad, this is the app, or better still the mobile site, to use. See Odibets Aviator.
Pepeta and Shabiki. Neither has a true native app at the time of writing. Both run as mobile sites that load Aviator fast and work well pinned to the home screen with the method below. See Pepeta Aviator and Shabiki Aviator.
Installing a bookmaker's Android app safely
Because Google Play does not list most Kenyan betting apps, the licensed bookmakers distribute their APKs from their own websites. That is the one situation where sideloading is reasonable, provided you do it carefully.
- Go to the bookmaker's real website by typing the address or from a link on this site. Find the app link in the footer or the menu. Do not search "betika apk" and tap the first result; mirrors sit above the real site.
- Download the APK from that page only. Check the address bar shows the bookmaker's own domain while the download starts.
- Allow installs from this source when Android asks. Allow it for the browser you used, then switch it back off afterwards in Settings, Apps, Special access, Install unknown apps.
- Open the app and log in with the phone number and password you use on the site. Do not create a second account; one number, one account is the rule at every BCLB brand.
The APK downloads to avoid

Search "aviator apk" in Kenya and the results are Softonic, Uptodown, APKPure and a long tail of blogs offering "Aviator v2.0 APK" or "Aviator Predictor APK" with a download button. Here is what those files have turned out to be when we have looked at them on a spare phone:
- A web view that opens a bookmaker's site, with the uploader's referral code attached. Harmless-ish, pointless, and it stops working when the bookmaker changes its URL.
- An ad container with a fake plane animation and no real money anywhere, farming ad impressions from people who thought they were installing the game.
- A "predictor" that asks you to log in to your bookmaker inside the app. That is a phishing overlay. Your phone number and password go to whoever built it, and your M-Pesa-funded balance goes shortly after. We cover these in full on the Kenya predictor page.
The tell is simple. If the file did not come from a BCLB-licensed bookmaker's own domain, it is not the game. Aviator cannot be downloaded, because Aviator is a page inside a betting account.
The web-app shortcut: the best "Aviator app" there is
For Pepeta, Shabiki, WinPesa and honestly for Betika too, the cleanest install is no install at all. Modern Chrome turns any site into a home-screen app.
- Open the bookmaker's mobile site in Chrome and log in.
- Open Aviator so the game page is loaded.
- Tap the three-dot menu, then Add to Home screen (on some phones: Install app).
- Name it and confirm. An icon appears next to your other apps.
Tapping that icon opens the game in a full-screen window with no address bar. It takes up a few megabytes of browser cache rather than 60 MB of APK, it never needs updating, and it cannot be a fake because it is literally the bookmaker's site. iPhone users do the same from Safari's share menu with Add to Home Screen, which is also the only route to Aviator on iOS for every Kenyan brand except Betway.
Playing on low data and old phones
A lot of Kenyan Aviator play happens on a KSh 20 daily bundle, and the game is kinder to that than people expect once it has loaded.
Opera Mini. The game will not run in Opera Mini's extreme mode, because the compression proxy breaks the live connection that updates the multiplier. Switch that site to standard mode (or use Opera's regular browser) and it works. Chrome's Lite mode is fine.
Data per hour. Loading the game the first time costs a few megabytes. After that, a session uses roughly 1 to 3 MB an hour: the multiplier updates and the live bets panel are small messages, not video. Closing the chat panel trims it further.
Old phones. Odibets and Pepeta are the lightest sites. Betika's app is the heaviest; use its mobile site instead. If the game stutters at the cash-out moment, that is lag between your tap and the server, and it costs real money. Set auto cash-out so the server does the tapping for you.
Battery. The game keeps the screen awake and the radio busy. On a tired battery, an hour of Aviator is a real drain. Not a reason to stop, but a reason to charge first.
Where this leaves you
Install the Betika, SportPesa, Betway or Odibets app from the bookmaker's own site if you like a proper app icon, or pin any bookmaker's mobile site to your home screen if you would rather not sideload anything. Both give you the full Spribe Aviator with your M-Pesa balance behind it. Everything else that calls itself an Aviator app is either wasting your storage or after your login. Our Kenya Aviator page covers the game itself, the tax and the bookmakers in detail.
18+ only. If the game is costing more than the bundle, the Mental Health line is 1199.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an official Aviator app?
No. Spribe, the studio that makes Aviator, builds the game in HTML5 to run inside bookmaker websites and apps. It has never released a standalone Aviator app on Google Play, the App Store or as an APK. Every 'Aviator app' you see is a bookmaker app that contains the game, or a third-party download that is not the game.
Which Kenyan betting apps have Aviator?
Betika, SportPesa, Betway and Odibets all publish Android apps that include Aviator in their casino or games section. Pepeta and Shabiki run as mobile sites you can pin to your home screen. In every case you log in with the same phone number and password as the website and play from the same M-Pesa-funded balance.
What is Pakakumi Aviator APK?
A search mash-up. Pakakumi is a separate Kenyan crash-betting site that started with its own in-house crash game and now also lists Aviator. There is no Pakakumi app or APK, and there is no Aviator APK. Anything offered under that name is a repackaged web view or a fake. Use Pakakumi's website directly if you want it.
Is it safe to download an Aviator APK?
Not from a download site. APKs outside Google Play can carry anything, and 'Aviator' files are a favourite wrapper for adware and credential-stealing overlays. The only APKs worth sideloading are the ones a licensed bookmaker publishes on its own domain, such as Betika's and SportPesa's, because Google Play restricts real-money betting apps in Kenya.
How do I install Aviator on my phone without an app?
Open the bookmaker's site in Chrome, log in, open Aviator, then use the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen. That creates an icon that opens straight to the game as a web app. It uses no storage beyond the browser cache and updates itself.
Can I play Aviator on Opera Mini?
Yes, but turn off Opera Mini's extreme data-saving mode for the bookmaker's site, because the game needs a live connection that the compression proxy breaks. Standard mode works. The game uses roughly 1 to 3 MB per hour once loaded, so a small daily bundle is enough for a session.
